Vita

Elisabeth Niggl was born in Munich in 1985 and lives in Graefelfing.
From 1991-1996 she learned Soprano and Alto recorder, since 1997 until the summer of 2007 she had been playing flute (amongst others lessons with Elisabeth Weinzierl). At "Landeswettbewerb Jugend musiziert" she received the second prize in the category "Duo: One Wind instrument and piano", followed by two concerts as soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bad Reichenhall. From 1998 until 2005 Elisabeth Niggl had additionally been learning cello, with what she participated in 2 mastercourses with Guido Schiefen in 2002. Besides, she was a member of the Sollner Kantorei and its chamber choir, took voice lessons with Helena Jungwirth and is a member of St.Michael's chamber choir.
At the end of November 2004 she started occupying herself with the panflute; 2005-2009 she took panflute lessons with Ulrich Herkenhoff. In 2007 she received a scholarship of the Panflute World Association.
At the beginning of 2007 Ronny Kaufhold (concert pianist) and she founded the duo "PiANo". They performed amongst other things at the "Jour Fixe" of the Berliner Musikinstrumenten-Museum and at the "Weinheimer Kultursommer". Besides, Elisabeth Niggl plays panflute at various church services, e.g. in the Frauenkirche and in St.Michael, Munich.
In March 2010 Ulrich Herkenhoff, having a concert scheduling conflict, put one of the soundtrack performances of "The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King" across to her. She thus performed with the Münchner Symphoniker, the UniversitätsChor München and conductor Ludwig Wicki in the soldout Münchner Philharmonie.
